Saffron spice is the threads of saffron crocus flower. Each saffron flower contains only 3 threads. Almost 77,000 saffron flowers are hand-picked one by one by hardworking farmers to make a pound of saffron spice. Saffron powder is the grounded form of the thread for your convenience.

Fair Trade

Harvesting saffron is not an easy process. Farmers have to harvest the saffron once a year in an almost two weeks period. They start early in the dawn and hand-pick each saffron flower till a little after sunrise. If it was not the hard work of the skilled farmers we wouldn't have the luxury of enjoying this amazing spice in ease. That's why we make sure that their hard work is well awarded.

Quality

Our saffron goes through a lab when we first receive it in our supply chain to test if it passes our high requirements of Color/Aroma/Flavor elements.

Then it is handled in facilities with high food safety standards. Then we package and bring you the fresh saffron in different types and sizes for your needs in the best dedicated saffron packaging available. This makes us happy and we take pride in that
