Yunnan Pu-Erh Premium Loose Leaf Black Tea from the Yunnan province of China - fermented and aged traditional tea to make strong and distinctive drink.

BREWING: Allow 1- 1½ teaspoon per cup. Boil the water and wait for 1 to 2 minutes before pouring it onto the leaves. Steeping time: 2 - 3 minutes. USES: Best consumed on its own. The leaves can even be steeped multiple times, revealing different layers of flavour with each infusion. If you prefer your tea white though, its earthy notes actually go well with milk. BENEFITS: As this is the ripe version of Pu-erh, it has low to moderate caffeine content. Like other black teas, Pu-Erh tea is rich in antioxidants. Some traditional Chinese medicine practices also attribute detoxifying properties to Pu-erh. ABOUT: This distinctive type of tea has rich and complex flavour profile which can be described as mellow, earthy and woody. ORIGIN: Pu-erh tea, often pronounced as "poo-er," is a unique fermented and aged tea that originates from the Yunnan province of China. This type of black tea has been produced in various forms and processing methods from as early as the 10th Century.
