We use Black Soldier Fly Larvae as they are high in protein and loved by all wild birds! This is blended with premium peanut meal and high quality dried mealworms and a touch of Turmeric powder (Natural Colourant) to create an irresistible, healthy & tasty suet coconut. These XL coconuts contain 450-550g of premium insect based suet! Produced, Packed and Dispatched from the UK. Our natural suet coconut feeders are easy to use, simply use the attached rope to hang from a tree or feeder. These insects contain around 43% protein and even have a sweet, almost biscuit like aroma making it much easier for palatability. Black Soldier Fly Larvae is a much more sustainable protein source than traditional cattle, on average cattle need 10kg of food to produce 1kg of meat, whereas Black Soldier Fly Larvae only need 1.5kg of feed (recycled vegetable matter) to produce 1kg of meat. We are big believers in the power of insects! We already use Insect powder across a lot of our products so it made complete sense for us to use the remaining Insect fat in our new suet range.
