The Walkers Shortbread Story

The Walkers story begins over a hundred years ago in 1898 in the Scottish Highlands, when the twenty-one year old Joseph Walker opened the doors of his own bakery with a loan of £50 and the dream of making the finest shortbread in the world.

Walkers is still family owned, and our authentic, all-natural shortbread recipes have been passed down through the generations and our classic shortbread is still baked in the villages of the Scottish Highlands.
