How does Vocalzone Tea work?

Vocalzone Tea has been expertly formulated and designed to serve in complement and in conjunction with the Vocalzone Pastille. Our tea targets your throat in its primary function, the secret is the naturally occurring mucilage within ingredients such as Slippery Elm and Marshmallow Root. This mucilage will coat your throat, helping to lubricate it. This can help to soothe any discomfort from overuse, and also assists in protecting your throat during a performance. It is also great to inhale, or sip on when you are feeling a little under the weather. Vocalzone Tea’s ingredients activated once brewed with hot water. The longer you brew the tea, the greater the benefits, however if you’re in a rush, as little as 3 minutes of brewing will do. Vocalzone Tea should not replace any vocal care routines but is designed to enhance it and complement it. Herbal experts regard all the ingredients used in our tea as excellent natural supplements which will work together to offer a rounded addition to your vocal care routine. Vocalzone Tea is naturally caffeine free, suitable for vegans and contains no artificial ingredients. The base formula for our tea is as follows:

Liquorice Root: Liquorice Root eases congestion by helping to loosen and thin mucus in the airways. The herb also soothes soreness in the throat.

Slippery Elm: Slippery Elm contains a substance called mucilage, which is what helps soothe and coat the mouth and throat.

Marshmallow Root: Marshmallow Root eases sore throats and dry coughs, and has antibacterial properties.

Fennel Seed: Fennel Seed is an aromatic ingredient, with uplifting properties that can clear sinuses, and stabilize breathing.

A bit more about Vocalzone...

Vocalzone was founded in 1907 by ENT Surgeon William Lloyd, the son of Innkeepers from Carmarthen, Wales. Lloyd created Vocalzone in liquid form for Enrico Caruso and began mass producing it as a pastille in 1912. Vocalzone has been used by some of history’s most iconic performers including Frank Sinatra, Gregory Peck and Sir Tom Jones. Within the past year it has become a range of products including tea and pastille flavours Blackcurrant Sugar Free and Honey & Lemon.
