What if my pet licks at the spray? After applying the spray, we recommend deterring your pet from grooming the area until it dries. It is safe for them to lick the area however, if they lick it right away it won't be as effective.	What does lactic acid do in treating hotspots? Lactic Acid is an ingredient commonly used in topical treatments that helps remove dead skin cells from the surface layer of the skin and encourages new skin growth. Additionally, consistent application of lactic acid on the skin has proven to create firmer, thicker, and smoother skin.	Will my dog's hair grow back where the hot spot is? It is very possible to grow the hair back from the spots where hair was lost, however, sometimes lesions can be severe enough to damage hair follicles and affect hair growth.	Can this be used near the mouth? My dogs been scratching his whisker area and under his jaw. To apply the product to the area under the mouth we recommend spraying a small rag or cotton ball with it and then applying it to the area. This way no spray accidentally gets spritzed into the pet’s mouth or nose.
