Bei diesem sehr schön gearbeiteten Brillengestell aus Holz handelt es sich um eine Nachbildung von Brillen des 15. Jahrhunderts. Das Brillengestell besteht aus zwei aufeinander vernieteten Holzteilen. Durch diese Fertigungsart lässt sich die Brille beliebig auffächern und passt praktisch auf jede Nase. Die Länge vom Mittelpunkt (Niete) bis zum Brillenrand gemessen beträgt je Seite ca. 8 cm. Getragen wurden Mittelalter Brillen wie diese übrigens nicht mit an dem Rahmen befestigten Bügeln wie heute, sondern vielmehr mittels Bändern.
