Quick User Guide (Please check before purchasing):
1. About the 4K 60Hz HDMI Port:
ā¢ A laptop with an activated Display Port 1.4 and 8K capability is required to achieve 4K @ 60 Hz; if the laptop has Display Port 1.2, it can only reach 4K @ 30 Hz.
ā¢ To ensure 4K @ 60Hz, make sure both the connected device and display have the same resolution and use an appropriate HDMI cable.
2. About USB-C 100W PD charging:
ā¢ To ensure normal performance of both the device and the macbook pro usb c hub, it is recommended to use a charger with a wattage higher than 45W that supports PD fast charging protocol, as the usb hdmi hub consumes 8W during charging.
3. If your USB-C host supports DP Alt Mode but the HDMI port doesn't work, we suggest the following troubleshooting steps:
ā¢Make sure to select the correct input source on your TV or display, such as choosing HDMI 1 if you connected the hub to HDMI port 1, using your TV's remote control.
ā¢ Update the BIOS and graphic card driver from your laptop's official website, and try using a shorter HDMI cable.
ā¢ Please set your laptop's resolution to 1080P or lower, reconnect the macbook pro hdmi adapter, restart your laptop, and then attempt again.
5. To ensure a stable connection:
ā¢ Please avoid connecting devices with a combined current exceeding 900 mA.
ā¢ When fully loaded, a hdmi to usb c adapter can reach a surface temperature of approximately 121Ā°F (50Ā°C), which is within the normal operating range.
