1. simultaneously using 2 expansion devices via HDMI, if the resolution of one device is 4K@60Hz, and the other is 1080P@60Hz , these 2 screens are expanded with a resolution of 1080P@60Hz at the same time.
2. If you want to output 4K resolution, your laptop needs to support DP1.4 output.
3. The resolution of monitors will be always consistent with laptop if mirror display under Windows system.

FAQs

Q1: Dual extension screens do not work with full resolution.

A: When using 2 extended monitors at the same time, the monitors will use the same low resolution together. For example, one device is 4K@60Hz, and one is 1080P@60Hz , these 2 screens are expanded with the resolution of 1080P@60Hz at the same time. When using 1 HDMI port on one extension screen, the resolution up to 4K60HZ.

Q2: When using the HDMI port extension, the computer flickers and the monitor does not display.

A: When this happens, it is possible that the resolution of the monitor(8K30Hz or 8K60Hz) is higher than the resolution of the USB C hub( One port of HDMI is max 4K60Hz, and the other is max 4K30Hz). At this point you can try to lower the resolution or refresh rate down on the computer/laptop.

Q3: Do I need to power it in the USB-C port?

A: No, this usb c hub does not require additional power, which can be plug and play when your laptop or computer is powered on.

Q4: When the monitor is not powered on, it does not work.

A: It will not supply power to the monitor when the HDMI port of usb c hub connect to the monitor. Please note the HDMI ports are video transmission ports, so the monitor needs to be connected to the power supply before use.
