WHICH AFFECTS WILL AFFECT UTI TEST RESULTS

WHAT ARE THE LIMITS OF THE UTI TEST:

Just like all the laboratory tests, the diagnosis results and treatment protocols cannot be decided only by any single diagnostic method. Under certain conditions, you may get a negative result even though you have a UTI.
If your infection is caused by bacteria that does not change nitrate to nitrite, if the urine has not been held in the bladder for at least four hours, you will get a negative nitrite result. If there are only a small number of white blood cells (Leukocytes) in the urine, you may get a negative Leukocytes result. Always contact your physician when you have any UTI symptoms.

Positive: Pad becomes PURPLE. Sign of a possible UTI. Darker the shade, higher the possibility.

pH value

Any color corresponding with 7 and above is a sign of a possible UTI.
