The converter is compatible with RS-232 and RS-422 standards and can convert single-ended RS-232 signals to balanced differential RS-422 signals.

The converter transmits at 300-115.2Kbps and can extend the RS-232 communication distance up to 1.2km.

The unique "RS-232 charge pump" is used to drive the converter without external power supply, so it does not need to initialize the RS-232 serial port to get power.

The unique I/O circuitry automatically controls the direction of data flow without any handshaking signals (such as RTS, DTR, etc.), thus ensuring that programs written in RS-232 full duplex mode can be run in RS-422 mode without modification.

The RS-232 full-duplex method can be used for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint remote communication networks between controllers, microcontrollers and peripherals, and can be applied to existing operating software and interface hardware to achieve multi-computer answering communication.
