To get started, plug the adapter’s USB-A male connector into a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Then, use Cat5e/6 cable to connect the two RJ45 (female) connectors to a network. This adapter doesn’t require an external power supply. It’s bus powered via your computer’s USB 3.0 port. The U336-002-GB is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromium operating systems. It’s backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices (but at USB 2.0 speeds). It also has a micro-B port for connecting to a power source when your computer is turned off.
