Tripp Lite’s B022-U08 lets you directly control up to 8 computers and can be expanded to control up to 264 computers when you daisy-chain as many as 32 units. The B022-U08 takes up just 1U of rack space in a standard 19 in.-wide rack. It works with all major operating systems and supports both PS/2 and USB connections using a P778-Series combo cable kit (a combo cable kit is required for each connected computer; one combo kit is included with the switch). Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, you can connect multiple versions of multiple platforms in any combination, including Windows and Linux operating systems.

The advanced on-screen display (OSD) supports high-definition video up to 2048 x 1536 at the local console. You can select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons, keyboard hotkey commands or the OSD, which is available in English, Spanish, French, German or Japanese. The auto-scan mode automatically sequences through all active ports accessible to the user. Two levels of security allow you to delegate proper access to approved personnel, up to four users and one administrator.

When connected as part of a daisy-chain, each individual B022-U08’s position is sensed automatically without needing to manipulate DIP switch settings.
