Tripp Lite’s B055-001-UDP NetDirector DisplayPort USB Server Interface is the 'next generation' solution for connecting a Tripp Lite B064-IPG-Series KVM switch to a DisplayPort-enabled computer. The unit includes two USB Type-A connectors and one DisplayPort connector for input from your server or computer, eliminating the bulk of traditional KVM cables. A female RJ45 port provides a connector for Cat5e/6 cabling from the interface unit to the KVM switch. The interface unit also supports Common Access Card (CAC) and provides the computer or server with full Virtual Media functionality.

Get up and running right away – the B055-001-UDP requires no software, drivers or external power supply for operation. The unit’s compact, lightweight design is easy to handle, easy to set up.

Using Cat5e/6 cabling allows your server to be located up to 164 ft. away from the KVM switch. By eliminating bulkier KVM cables, the B055-001-UDP also allows cabling to run through conduit and other tight spaces, guaranteeing maximum flexibility when setting up your network application and saving space in your rack or network closet.

Using Cat5e/6 cabling, you can locate the KVM switch up to 164 feet (50 meters) from the server. Allowing the DisplayPort server to access the KVM switch's Virtual Media functionality via low-cost Cat5e/6 cable eliminates the need for bulky KVM cables.
