Tripp Lite's B072-008-1-IP NetCommander Cat5 IP KVM Switch is the smart solution for controlling multiple computers and servers from one monitor, keyboard and mouse. The B072-008-1-IP offers a comprehensive, cost-effective network management solution that installs in 1U of rack space. No server-resident software is required, and upgradable firmware fine-tunes compatibility with emerging standards. Servers are connected to the switch with inexpensive Cat5 patch cabling, reducing clutter and conserving valuable rack space. Cat5 connections also allow the B072-008-1-IP to be located up to 100 feet away from the servers.

Simultaneous Local and Remote Support for 2 Users

The B072-008-1-IP enables control of multiple computers from either a local console or a remote location by offering simultaneous support for one local and one remote user. With simultaneous local/remote support, users can each access a different port on the KVM at the same time.

IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations and equipment reboots from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. The B072-008-1-IP also lets you add IP PDUs as devices that can be controlled by the KVM. Users can assign individual ports on the KVM to a PDU port to Power Cycle or Power Off/On the computer/server connected to that port.

Simple, Flexible and Secure Network Control

The B072-008-1-IP eases multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. An advanced, high-resolution 1600 x 1200 on screen display (OSD) provides a graphical user interface with a variety of management tools (for remote sessions, the B072-008-1-IP supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080). Users may also select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons or keyboard hotkey commands. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate when a computer is connected, powered on and selected.

The B072-008-1-IP offers three levels of password protection. Remote authentication support is provided via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory, and the unit incorporates the most advanced encryption technologies: 128-bit SSL and HTTPS.

The B072-008-1-IP supports both PS/2 and USB server connections (Tripp Lite B078-101 Series server interface units and Cat5 patch cables required; sold separately), and almost any platform can be accommodated.

Tripp Lite's B072-008-1-IP 8-Port NetCommander Cat5 IP KVM switch is the optimal solution for controlling multiple computers from either a local console or a remote location. Simultaneous support is provided for up to one local and one remote user, allowing each to access a different port on the KVM at the same time. A single unit occupies a mere 1U of rack space, yet can control up to 8 directly connected computers. Each computer/server can be located up to 100 ft. from the KVM switch using Cat5e/6 cabling, with support for video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz. A full-screen graphical OSD with multi-level authentication (Administrator and User) allows you to quickly and efficiently manage your installation. Allows for remote authentication via RADIUS and LDAP/S, and supports both IPv4 and IPv6. The OSD includes a range of settings for system configuration that allow you to add accounts, customize account access, install a SSL certificate, backup and restore system settings, upgrade firmware, and more. In addition to ports for computers/servers, two serial ports are provided for the connection and control of serial manageable devices such as PDU's, firewalls, and routers.
