HISTORY AND TRADITION

Carrot Seed essential oil is extracted from the seed of the wild carrot plant, grown extensively through northern Europe. Steam distillation is applied to the seeds appearing on the plant after flowering has finished in late summer, producing an earthy, comforting oil with a dry aroma.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: Carrot Seed oil's replenishing properties works particularly well in cosmetic blends to tackle fine lines and wrinkles on the face, help to repair damage and signs of ageing
MENTAL & EMOTIONAL EFFECT: Carrot Seed oil is said to boost the spirit, helping to calm an overactive mind and soothe emotional stress
EXTRACTION METHOD: Steam distillation of the seeds produces a thin and pale yellow oil
BLENDS WELL WITH: Citrus Oils, Geranium, Patchouli, Rose and Sandalwood

USE IN AN AROMA SPA DIFFUSER

Add 6 to 8 drops of essential oils to 100ml of water. Can also be used in an oil burner when mixed with water too

USE IN A MASSAGE BLEND

Add 5 drops of essential oil to 10ml of blending oil, such as Jojoba or Sweet Almond

USE IN A FACIAL TREATMENT BLEND

Add up to 2 drops of essential oil to 10ml of blending oil and apply to skin in gentle, circular movements

USE IN A BATH BLEND

Add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of blending oil & swirl into water
