The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves and spreads there since 1885. We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves, condiments, and other treats in our factory by the farm. We grow in a sustainable manner, engaging the local community in our long term approach. Fruit crops include strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, cherries, rhubarb, damson, quince, and the curious medlar. Every member of staff is part of our share ownership scheme, giving each a keen interest in the future of the business. Our products are made to cherished recipes and are free from artificial colours and flavours. We take an artisan approach to production, cooking in small batches using traditional methods. We received our first Royal Warrant from George V in 1911 and we presently hold the Royal Warrant as purveyors of Tiptree Products to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
