Chicken Tikka masala

Method

Mix the natural yoghurt and tikka paste together and then add the chicken breast chunks. Leave to marinade
Heat the oil in a large pan and add the onions, garlic and ginger and fry for about 5 minutes to soften
Add the marinated chicken and fry until sealed and slightly browned
Add the chopped tomatoes, smoked salt and water and cook uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add the butter and lemon juice and heat through
Finish by swirling in the double cream
Heat Tilda Pure Basmati rice as per pouch instructions and serve alongside the curry.

3 tbsps natural yoghurt
4 tbsps tikka paste, 1 tbsp oil
2 large chicken breast, cut into bite size chunks
1 onion, finely chopped, 1 clove garlic, crushed
200g canned chopped tomatoes
2 tbsps water, 2 tbsps double cream,
1 tsp lemon juice, A knob of butter

Packed in a protective atmosphere for extra freshness. Heat for 2 minutes in a microwave. The delicious fluffy grains of Tilda Steamed Basmati rice are pre-steamed and can be heated in the microwave in just 2 minutes, or stir fried in a pan with a little oil in 4 minutes. They are a perfect lunchtime alternative to a sandwich, side to an evening meal or a great ingredient in a larger dish. The range is not only quick and delicious, but they are gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. It is available in a 250 g pack.
