thinSOLE - The All Day Comfort Insole

Our standard Thinsole is almost 3/16" thick. It's a slim design that fits in all shoes. Slip them in your dress shoes, flats, or boots. Because of the heat-shaping attributes, you can add them to your athletic shoes too.

The material is designed to help reduce lower body muscle fatigue. It absorbs shock and impact to keep you on your feet longer. An added perk is the unique texture. It gives your feet a sensation you won't forget.

And the "No Trim Sizing" feature means you won't need scissors. Just match your shoe size to a Thinsole size in the chart.

The thinSOLE sizing chart is more than your foot's length and width. We used a custom insole shape for more comfort in more shoes.

thinSOLE fits almost any shoe. Slip them in your casual shoes, dress shoes and flats, or your work boots. They're thin enough to slip over the insoles of your athletic shoes. That's because the thermoplastic polyurethane is heat activated to fit the form of your foot.

How thinSOLE Keeps You On Your Feet

The Thinsole is based on our Patent Pending use of Materials Science. And added strength comes from a gyroid geometric lattice. Like the name implies, additive manufacturing creates a product by adding material. Many companies use outdated methods to shave, carve, and cut blocks of raw material. We chose a more modern method because it allows for quality over quantity.

Our Process:

  • Adds raw material with precision
  • Produces stronger, lighter products with more complex geometries
  • Leaves less waste than conventional manufacturing

For example, PORONTM foam is a popular material in the insole and orthotics industry. It's a closed-cell urethane that manufacturers carve into generic shapes in a factory. This leaves behind small particles of waste in the form of harmful microplastics.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane

Thermoplastic Polyurethane, or TPU, is sometimes called the bridge between rubbers and plastics. It has just enough "give" and flex to replace rubber or silicone, with the added durability of plastics.

TPU offers an impressive balance of mechanical properties, including:

  • Excellent wear & tear resistance
  • High tensile strength
  • Good load-bearing capacity
  • Unique vibration dampening

TPU has shown exceptional performance in shoes, insoles, and a variety of supports. In sports performance research TPU showed improved running economy over standard insoles. And head to head against EVA foam, TPU showed a stronger propulsive load.

Optimized Mesh Lattice

Our products have a unique texture, and that's by design. The internal geometry is actually an incredibly strong structure. It's based on an equation discovered by NASA scientists decades ago.

Recent research showed this lattice has more compressive strength than other supports:

  • 7% better than a honeycomb-shaped pattern
  • 10% better than a diamond-shaped pattern

Support structures regained popularity with a rise in 3d printing applications. MIT material science engineers recently confirmed the advantage our mesh provides. In their study, they compared this lattice to solid blocks of material.

MIT research showed it was 10 times stronger than solid material. Not only was it stronger, but it used 90% less material.
