In early 2010 we decided that we were not as thrilled with the coffee scene in Vancouver and where it was headed.

We wanted to get back to the feelings and flavours that we all found while touring Europe. Similar flavours that you would have found on The Drive when East Vancouver's Little Italy was young. We wanted to go back to the roots of European coffee. We wanted that aroma and flavour that resonated throughout the coffee bars and homes of Europe. That coffee that inspired the discussions for change and betterment of people, that coffee that elicited debates in homes that could be heard down the street, that coffee that brought us together after a wonderful meal. We wanted a coffee that evoked those feelings of warmth or family and tradition.

Through a cooperative effort of local roasters and resident connoisseurs, we strove to bring us back in time and to bring a little of the old school Commercial Drive back to your home.

Park Drive Dark Roast Ground Coffee

The Commercial Drive Park Drive (the original name for Commercial Drive) is an inspired roast of two beands from Costa Rica and Mexico. Strong rich flavours with low acidity, earthy caramel hints, leather and Cuban tobacco malt body topped with a bitter sweet Dutch chocolate finish. Commercial Drive Coffee is a result of a few East Van guys getting together and wanting to bring coffee back to the days of the Italian immigrants of East Vancouver's Little Italy

East Vancouver - Little Italy - Commercial Drive Coffee

The Drive Is Where You Want To Be.

Little Italyin Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is an area in the eastern part of the city, in the Grandview-Woodland neighbourhood, often synonymous with the Commercial Drive area. Historically this area was an enclave of ethnic Italians and Italian businesses. on April 6, 2016 the Vancouver city Councillors voted unanimously to declare the area as Little Italy after NPA Councillor put forward the motion. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 12 to recognize officially an eight-block stretch of Commercial Drive as Little Italy.

The Drive Coffee is an East Vancouver Brand. We are in East Van with our coffee bar - The Drive Coffee Bar being located right in the heart of Little Italy at 1st and Commercial.
