Unplug all aquarium equipment before beginning maintenance.
Use a siphon to clean your gravel and remove 30% of your water. (Approximately 3 gallons for 10 gallon aquarium, 6 gallons for 20 gallon aquarium)
Dump the water into a toilet or flower garden. (Note: Never dump aquarium water into a sink used for food preparation or into a storm drain or natural waterway)
Rinse plants and décor and return to aquarium.


5. Fill your bucket up again with clean, room temperature water and treat with Tetra(R) AquaSafe(R) water conditioner before adding water back into the aquarium.	6. Add Tetra(R) EasyBalance(R) solution.	7. Change filter media. (Tetra(R) Whisper(R) Medium Bio-Bag(R) for 10 gallon and Tetra(R) Whisper(R) Large Bio-Bag(R) for 20 gallon)	8.
