Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic root herb traditionally used for physical and mental performance enhancement. Ashwagandha’s active with anolide compounds may help to help increase testosterone levels by:

1. Strengthening resistance to stress-induced testosterone decline by optimizing the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis and regulating cortisol release;

2. Stimulating Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which signal for testosterone production and release;

3. Supplying targeted antioxidant activity to fight free radicals that attack and degrade testosterone and sperm.

D-Aspartic Acid

D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate (D-AA-CC) is an advanced chelated form of D-Aspartic Acid (DAA), an amino acid that helps regulate the synthesis and release of sex hormones.

DAA is believed to work by orchestrating hormone signalling throughout the endocrine system’s glands, thereby playing a role in sex hormone synthesis and release. DAA has been suggested to support testosterone production by:

1. Stimulating the pituitary gland to increase production of luteinizing hormone (LH) and growth hormone;

Mucuna Pruriens

Also called velvet bean, Mucuna Pruriens is an Ayurvedic masculinity tonic that supplies an active ingredient called levodopa (L-DOPA). L-DOPA supports masculine health by starting a chain reaction of bioactivities that culminate in testosterone production:

1. L-DOPA stimulates the brain to release gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH);

2. GnRH signals the pituitary gland to produce luteinizing hormone (LH);

3. LH promotes increased testosterone synthesis.

Mucuna further supports a masculine hormone body-state by acting as a mild inhibitor of prolactin – a protein that can diminish testosterone in excess – while optimizing growth hormone. Mucuna has been shown in research to significantly increase testosterone in men with low sperm count.

Luteolin

Luteolin is a botanical antioxidant that promotes healthy testosterone levels by blocking the aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen.

Luteolin’s anti-aromatase activity may be most helpful for men over 30: Aromatase’s testosterone-to-estrogen conversion rate increases as men grow older, potentially contributing to age-related testosterone decline.
