A device that realizes data conversion between RS232/RS485 (cannot be used at the same time) and CAN. The CAN parameters (such as baud rate, etc.) and serial port parameters (RS232 and RS485) of the device can be modified through the configuration software.

Module indicator meaning

There are 4 LED indicators: PWR, RUN, COM and CAN.

POWER: System power indicator light, red; Steady on: power supply is normal; off: power supply is abnormal

RUN: system running indicator; in normal operation, the frequency of on and off is about 1Hz; CAN

When there is an abnormality, it is always on;

COM: RS232/RS485 indicator; flashes when data is received

CAN: CAN indicator; flashes when data is received

Power connector

This module uses DC5~36V wide voltage power supply, and the module power is less than 0.2W.

There are two power supply interfaces: 5.08mm pitch industrial terminal and black power adapter socket. Choose one of the two interfaces

CAN interface

The CAN interface is led out by 5.00mm green terminal, and the interface has a 120 ohm terminal resistance selection function.

Among them, "RS" is the terminal resistance selection. If you connect "RS" and "CAN_L" with a wire, the 120 ohm resistor inside the module is incorporated into the CAN bus; otherwise, the 120 ohm resistor is not connected to the bus.

(According to the ISO 11898 specification, in order to enhance the reliability of CAN-bus communication, the two end points of the CAN-bus bus network usually need to add terminal matching resistance (120O)
