German dentists recommend Miswak - the natural wooden toothbrush.
Today, modern clinically-controlled studies from Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Egypt prove the effectiveness of the Miswak toothbrush in plaque reduction and prophylaxis. Miswak use gains popularity, not least because of its sustainability and biodegradability. The smell or The taste of the natural toothbrush is pleasantly wood-like with a very fine and mild ginger note. The Miswak is ideal to carry with you or generally for travel. It replaces toothbrush and paste and does not need water. It cleans gently and thoroughly thanks to natural plaster crystals, is haemostatic and prevents the penetration of bacteria and thus avoids bad breath. According to a two-week clinical study, compared to conventional toothbrush and toothpaste, it was possible to observe how the number of bacteria to the precursor of periodontitis (gingivitis) has significantly decreased. It contains important natural (!) Minerals such as fluoride (8 to 22 ppm) and silicon, germ and anti-inflammatory tannins (tannins) as well as vitamin C, saponins, chlorides, flavonoids, potassium and calcium.
The Miswak draws from the earth layer a minimal amount of natural fluoride as a mineral. This quantity makes approx. 1% of what is added industrially in commercially available toothpaste (1000 to 1500 ppm). The naturally occurring amount in the wooden toothbrush, strengthens the enamel and makes it more resistant to tooth decay.
