Lightning Surge Protector (75 Ohm)

Protect cell signal boosters from damaging electrical surges with this in-line connector piece for SC-RG6 and SC-RG11 coaxial cables. SureCall’s lightning arrestors act as a signal filter and are designed to pass desired frequencies while suppressing lightning surges. Lightning strike electrical surges are diverted through the protector’s short-circuit to the ground.

Grounding Instructions

To ground your surge protector, use 10 or 12-gauge copper wire and attach it to the ground connector piece. Tighten so the wire is firmly embedded under the metal teeth. Next, clip the other end of the wire and strip back the jacket to expose the raw wire. Then, attach the wire to a grounding point or rod sunk into the ground 8 feet deep. Be sure to check your local grounding code requirements as they vary by location.
