The ultra-absorbent dressing absorbs wound exudate through the wound contact layer, retaining the exudate in the core layer and minimising the risk of maceration. The contact layer transfers the fluid upwards without adhering to the wound site. The distribution layer has fast-absorbing properties and distributes the fluid evenly upwards into the absorbent layer. The central absorbent core provides excellent absorption and retention. The backing layer has fluid-repelling properties to minimise fluid penetration and its breathability improves the permeability and exudate management properties of the dressing. Features: Super absorbent lock-away core rapidly retains exudate away from the wound site. No adherent layer minimises adherence to the wound site and reduces pain during removal.
