Sand ist ein Naturprodukt. Jedes Sandkorn ist unterschiedlich geformt. Deshalb ist es schwierig eine exakte Laufzeit für Sanduhren anzugeben. Toleranzen bis zu 2 Minuten sind leider nicht zu vermeiden. Im Normalfall bewegen sich diese aber unter 1 Minute. Es kann Vorkommen, dass sich mehrere Sandkörner an der Durchlaufstelle gegenseitig blockieren. Klopfen Sie einfach leicht gegen das Glas oder drehen Sie kurz die Sanduhr um die Blockade zu beseitigen. Unter bestimmten klimatischen Bedingungen kann sich an der Innenseite des Glaszylinders ein leichter Film bilden. Dies ist kein Produktionsfehler sondern eine natürliche Erscheinung aufgrund statisches Aufladung. Bei allen Sanduhren ist das Glas mit einem hitzefesten Spezialkleber eingeklebt. Dadurch besteht eine wesentlich verringerte Bruchgefahr!
