This 4-Bay Drive Backplane or Mobile Rack facilitates the installation of up to four 2.5-inch U.2 (SFF-8639) SSD/HDDs within a single 5.25-inch bay. Enhance security and stability with lockable drive trays, providing an additional layer of protection while preventing accidental hot swaps*. The LEDs provide a visual indication of individual drive status and activity. Hot swap support is dependent on host computer PCIe hot swap capability. The Aluminum body is designed to facilitate heat dissipation ensuring optimal temperatures for the drives. Two rear cooling fans provide two adjustable airflow settings, ensuring reliable and sustained performance. This mobile rack includes four 2ft (61cm) Mini-SAS HD Cables, and drive/backplane mounting screws. Power the drives through a single SATA Power connection from the desktop/server power supply.

HASSLE-FREE SETUP: Includes 4x 2ft (61cm) Mini-SAS HD cables and uses a single SATA Power connector from the desktop/server power supply for a rapid installation; Drive and backplane mounting screws included; LEDs for individual drive status and activity. WIDE COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with storage management systems such as Storage Spaces (Microsoft), RAID Assistant (macOS), and mdraid/mdadm (Linux); Requires no drivers or software and works with any operating system; Supports U.2 NVMe Drives only. WELL VENTILATED: Quad U.2 mobile rack with four perforated drive trays/caddies, two rear blower fans and front air vents keep drives cool for optimal performance; Rear fan switch enables the adjustment of drive cooling fans between high and low settings. SECURE DESIGN: Lockable drive trays/caddies (2x keys incl.) keep the drives safe while adding an extra layer of security, helping to prevent accidental hot-swaps; Aluminum body aids heat dissipation; Extra drive trays sold separately (SATSASTRX25). 4-BAY BACKPLANE: Add four U.2 (SFF-8639) NVMe drive bays to computer; Supports 7mm to 15mm 2.5" NVMe SSDs; Up to 32Gbps per drive with individual Mini-SAS SFF-8643 ports; Fits into a 5.25" bay; Hot swapping requires PCIe hot swap support from the host.
