Ohne Zügelanzug und bei leichter bis normaler Verbindung zum Pferdemaul liegt das Gebiss satt auf der Zunge auf. Bei stärkerem Zügelanzug dreht sich das Mundstück leicht über die Zunge nach vorne. Die Auflagefläche verringert sich dadurch kurzfristig, was eine effektive Hilfengebung ermöglicht. Bei nachgebendem Zügel legt sich das Gebiss wieder weich und satt über die Zunge. Dies unterstützt eine optimale Kommunikation und bereitet den Weg für eine verbesserte Anlehnung zwischen Pferd und Reiter. In Tests hat sich das einfach gebrochene NOVOcontact Gebiss als besonders empfehlenswert für Pferde herausgestellt, die nicht richtig an die Hand herantreten.
