We are passionate about growing, cooking, eating and talking about chillies.

We love all the subtle flavours on offer from chillies as well as, of course, the chilli heat!

From Hobby Gardeners...

We started growing chillies as a hobby in our greenhouses when we moved from the city to rural Devon in the late 1990s.
...To Farming Chefs

Our fresh chillies were popular, but we wanted to experiment with different recipes for preserving and getting more from the chillies.
...And Now, We Do It All!!

We soon realised our products were just as popular as our fresh chillies and so SDCF as a grower, manufacturer and retailer, was born.

How did we get started?

We started growing chillies as a hobby in our back garden greenhouses when we moved from the city to rural Devon way back in the late 1990s. We never realised that chillies would be so easy to grow, so delicious and so completely addictive

How has the business developed?

Although our fresh chillies were very popular, we didn't manage to sell all of them and so we headed to our kitchens to experiment with different recipes for preserving the chillies.

What was your first product?

Our very first product was the Hot Apple Chilli Jelly
What was next?

Our customers loved our chilli preserves just as much as our fresh chillies and so, the South Devon Chilli Farm as a grower, manufacturer and retailer, was born.

What does the future hold?

The farm is at the start of a really exciting new stage in its growth, and we look forward to bringing you more of everything that you love about South Devon Chilli Farm, so watch this space.

We now create jams, chutneys, sauces and chocolates as well as growing kits so you can grow your own chilli’s. ✓ HOME GROWN Handmade in small batches, combined with our home-grown chillies & using all natural preservatives, we grow and manufacture everything on our own farm in South Devon. ✓ VEGAN FRIENDLY No artificial ingredients, just sweet peppers, courgettes, onions, apples, sultanas and the freshest chilli’s grown on our farm in South Devon.
