Der Vorschub des Unterkiefers kann mit den acht biegsamen Bändern reguliert werden. Die Vorschubmöglichkeiten reichen von 0 (Band 1) bis rund 12 mm (Band 8) im Durchschnitt (der tatsächliche Wert kann je nach Gebiss davon abweichen). Die Bänder sind mit Zahlen gekennzeichnet (von 1 bis 8), dabei leistet das jeweilige Band im Durchschnitt folgenden Vorschub: Band 1: 0 mm Band 2: 3 mm Band 3: 4,5 mm Band 4: 6 mm Band 5: 7,5 mm Band 6: 9 mm Band 7: 10,5 mm Band 8: 12 mm Es empfiehlt sich, bei anfänglichem Tragen der Anti-Schnarch-Schiene zu Gewöhnungszwecken zunächst das Band Nr. 4 einzusetzen (durchschnittlicher Unterkiefer-Vorschub um 6 mm). Nach einigen Anpassungsnächten stellen Sie den Vorschub nach folgenden Regeln ein: Wenn das Ziehen des Kiefers zu stark und zu unbequem ist, benutzen Sie ein Band, das einen geringeren Kiefer-Vorschub bewirkt (zum Beispiel Nr. 3). Wenn das Schnarchen sich nicht genug vermindert, benutzen Sie ein stärkeres Band (z.B. Nr. 5).
