Q: Can I use the Sitz Soak salts to soak my entire body

A: Yes! You definitely can. We designed this Sitz Soak for more than just hemorrhoid soaks or postpartum soaks. It's perfectly safe to use for soaking your body. Many customers even alternate between sitz style soaks to full bath soaks as they use the product.

Q: How much Sitz Salt should I use

A: Everyone is different, but we do provide general directions for use on the packaging itself and here in the too. Start with 1 tablespoon per gallon of water and gradually increase up to 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. If using in a full size bathtub, use about 1/2 cup to 1 full cup.

Q: Do you offer a larger size Sitz Soak

A: Yes we do! We currently offer our sitz bath soak in 32 ounces (2 pounds), 64 ounces (4 pounds), and in a much larger 128 ounces (8 pounds) size too. Availability may vary depending on current inventory levels, but we do our very best to keep all sizes in stock at all times.

A: "Sitz" comes from the German word for "sit." Basically a "sitz bath" is a sitting bath in which your hips and bottom are immersed in water for a therapeutic, relaxing, soothing effect.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

If using in an over-the-toilet Sitz Bath adapter, use about 1 ounce per gallon of water. Start with a small amount and then gradually increase based on your personal preference and personal needs. Always test a small amount before using more.
If using in a traditional large bath tub as a sitz, fill up the tub until you have a few inches of water height in your tub. Then add 1/8 cup to 1/4 cup. Start with a very small amount before increasing.
If using as a full body bath soak, fill up the tub and add 1/2 cup to start then gradually increase to suit your personal preference.

How To Create A Sitz Soak Using A "Sitz Bath" Adapter:

If you're using an over-the-toilet Sitz Bath adapter, start with a small amount of our Sitz Soak epsom salt blend — about 1 ounce per gallon of comfortably warm water. Allow the sitz soak mixture to dissolve completely and enjoy the aromatherapy of the essential oils. Soak for 10 to 15 minutes depending on your personal needs and personal preference. Increase or decrease the water as needed to suit your personal preference. Repeat daily as needed.
