When to Start Using

1. Begin using scar sheets as soon as the skin is healed and there is no oozing or crusting in the area.

2. Treatment with silicone scar sheets for post-surgical scars may typically begin 1-2 weeks after stitches are removed or when cleared by a physician or surgeon for use.

3. For existing scars, begin using silicone scar sheets right away, provided the skin is fully healed.

4. Silicone Scar Tape uses advanced silicone technology to improve hydration of the scar tissue, encourage the production of fibroblasts, which are cells that promote connective tissue formation, and repair collagen in the area of the incision, to ensure a softer, flatter and less visible scar.

How To Use Silicone Scar Sheets

STEP 1

Wash your hands before use and then gently clean the scar and surrounding skin. Thoroughly dry the area before applying the scar tape. Avoid using alcohol to clean.

STEP 2

Cut an appropriate size of Silicone Tape according to the scar size, and apply onto the scar. Apply several pieces of silicone tape side-by-side for larger scars, as long as the edges of the tape are connected neat and straight.

STEP 3

Peel off liner from adhesive side of tape, and apply with adhesive side directly on scar without stretching the tape.

STEP 4

Gently rinse the silicone tape daily, leave it air-dry and attach back to the liner to maintain adhesiveness. If the scar sheet gets stained, wash with warm water and dry before reuse.

Step 5

Use for 4-8 hours per day for the first few days, and gradually increase up to 24 hours a day for maximum results.

USAGE GUIDE

For new scars, use after the wound has healed. For old scars, it is recommended to use them as soon as possible. The more mature the marks, the longer the cycle of treatment. Individual results will vary.

Each sheet can be reused for up to 2 weeks with proper maintenance.

If the sheets get stained, gently wash them in warm water and let it dry or use a hair dryer to dry it.

Silicone Scar Tape is formulated to work best to prevent or treat hypertrophic scars as well as keloid scars often resulting from c-section, surgery, injury, burns, acne, and more. You can begin using the silicone scar tape for your new scar as soon as your wound is fully healed and there is no more bleeding or scabbing. It can also be applied on old scars. With consistent use, even scars that are years old, and appear raised and discolored, can become flatter, smoother, less visible and closer to your skin's natural color and texture. Scars usually will have visible change within a short period of about 4-8 weeks. Optimal results may be observed in about 12 weeks. Individual results may vary. If your scar is from years old, it may take half a year to see results.

Q1: Can I reuse the scar tape

A1: Yes. If there is no warping or peeling of the scar tape, simply rinse it off with warm water and reuse it until the scar tape does not adhere well.

Q2: Can scar tape remove scars

A2: As with other treatments, it is impossible to make scars disappear completely with the use of silicone scar sheets. However, with consistent use, the scars can be brought closer to the normal state of the skin.

Q3: How long does it take to get results

A3: The recovery of scars varies from person to person. Usually, it is recommended to use it for 5 - 10 weeks for new scars and 2 - 4 months or even longer for old scars, the earlier you use it, the longer you use it, the better the effect.
