How to use our seasoning blends as a dry rub.

Method

  • Take 1kg of your chosen meat and cut to size, rub a little oil on (optional)
  • Sprinkle over 40-50g of dry rub, rub in until coated entirely.
  • Add more rub / oil and repeat if necessary
  • Place your meat on skewers and grill or place in and oven proof dish and cover with foil and cook in oven.

For best results

  • Ideal for use with all cuts of chicken, pork and pork ribs.
  • Fantastic as a vegetable stir fry while also complimenting fish, especially salmon and cod.
  • Marinade your meat in the spices overnight in the fridge

Using our seasonings as a dry rub!

Step 1: Prepare meat

Prepare 1kg meat by cutting to size and rubbing with a little oil or alternative (optional).

Our rubs can also be used to coat vegetables, potatoes, tofu, seitan and more!

Step 2: Mix ingredients

  • Sprinkle over 40-50g of dry rub, rub in until coated entirely.
  • Add more rub / oil and repeat if necessary
  • Place your meat on skewers and grill or place in and oven proof dish and cover with foil and cook in oven.

Step 3: Coat meat

Allow the meat to marinade for a minimum of 5 minutes, to allow the flavours to settle ( we recommend leaving this a little longer).

Step 4: Cook and serve

Cook as preferred and serve alongside your favourite side dishes.

Some of our favourite rubs include ras el hanout, piri piri & chilli & lemon.



Marinade your meat overnight in the fridge for a better taste. Add some dry rub mix to vegetables before roasting or grilling with a little oil to coat evenly. Cook your meat as normal. Add more rub mix and repeat if necessary. Shake well to entirely cover contents. Place in a suitable bag or container and add 20 - 30g of rub mix. Take 1kg of your chosen meat and wet by running under cold water or coat in a little oil. This dry rub is ideal for use with all cuts of chicken, pork, pork ribs and also complimenting fish especially salmon and cod. Rubs are supplied as a dry mix of herbs and spices. A classic blend of pure sea salt & pepper.
