Which scar types can be treated

Scarbandit products are suited for the treatment of Surgery, Keloid, Hypertrophic, C-section, Burn and Acne Scars. The sheet contains medical silicone that has been proven to flatten, soften, reduce and improve overall appearance of the scar.

When to start the scar treatment

The sooner you start with the treatment the better. On newly formed scars, apply the scar sheet right after the wound has fully healed. On older scars you may start treatment immediately. However, do not use our product if you are allergic to silicone.

How to use Scarbandit medical grade silicone sheet

Step 1: Wash your hands before use and clean the scar with a non-oily soap.
Step 2: If needed, cut the silicone sheet to your desired length, include a small overlap over the surrounding skin.
Step 3: Remove the protective release film from the silicone sheet.
Step 4: Apply the silicone sheet, adhesive side to the scar, without stretching it.
Step 5: Press and hold the silicone sheet for a minute to activate the adhesiveness.

How long should I use and what can I expect

Typically, scars start to soften in around a week. Improvement in appearance, texture and color around 5 – 10 weeks. Continue the therapy for 3 months on new and up to 6 months on older scars. However, keep in mind that all scars are different, and results may vary.
