The Saramonic SoundBird V1 is a professional shotgun microphone that delivers premium, broadcast-quality sound, provides advanced features and comes with a suite of useful accessories. It features a supercardioid, directional pickup pattern allows you to clearly capture sounds in front of the microphone and from a distance, while rejecting unwanted sound from sides and rear. The all-brass construction is both incredibly durable and helps to reduce radio-frequency interference and the finish is both attractive and non-reflective. So, you can be sure it won’t catch the light, and add a glare to your shot. The XLR output is gold-plated to resist corrosion and provide the best possible signal transfer. The 10.7” length is the perfect size to either mount to a camera or use on boom poles and stands. Shine a light on excellent sound You will always know what settings are being used with the illuminated buttons. The first button activates the high-pass filter, which removes unwanted low-frequency sounds, like rumble of HVAC systems, footsteps and traffic noise. The second button activates the -10dB pad, which enables you capture louder sounds without distortion. The third button is On/Off, which controls the internal AA battery. When you power SoundBird V1 with external phantom power, the On/Off button illuminates green. When powering with an internal AA battery, it illuminates blue. When the battery is low, it illuminates red. SoundBird V1 also remembers your button settings when turned off and on. Must-have accessories are included There are several useful accessories included in the box. You get an adjustable premium shock mount, which eliminates vibrations and handling noise, to attach to a camera shoe, boom pole or stand. A foam windscreen and 2-foot (61cm) XLR cable are also included.
