What is LeanGard

LeanGard is a proprietary blend of natural extracts that supports correct body composition and weight management. The constituents of LeanGard are ForsLean, a patented (US 5,804,596) natural extract from the roots of Coleus forskohlii (standardized to contain 10% forskolin), GarCitrin (a natural extract from Garcinia cambogia fruit containing hydroxycitric acid and garcinol), and BioPerine (a natural extract from black pepper fruit, a bioavailability enhancer).

Maintaining lean body mass has two important reasons. First is that lean body mass plays a vital role in any weight training regimen. Second, lean body mass is proportionate to the wellness of individuals.

Lean body mass consists of muscles, vital organs, bone and marrow, tissue, and most body water. The proportion of lean body mass to body fat determines our aesthetic looks, but more importantly, it determines our physical fitness and our risk of morbidity. Calculating Body Mass Index There is a practical way of self-assessing body composition called the Body Mass Index (BMI), and is calculated by dividing body weight in kilograms by the height squared in meters. The BMI norm is between 18 & 25 kg/m2. A value over 25 puts a person in the overweight category and values greater than 30 correspond to varying degrees of obesity. Another valuable self-determined index that corresponds to lean body mass is the waist to hip ratio; the norm for men is 1.0 and for women approximately 0.8.

LeanGard a botanical weight management formula (BWMF) composed of hydroxycitric acid (HCA), garcinol, diterpene forskolin and alkaloid piperine was developed. The composition of BWMF is aimed at overcoming the shortcomings of the individual botanical ingredients, facilitating their actions and improved bioavailability to the target tissues and cells. BWMF was evaluated in a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled 12-week study. The 500 mg of BWMF or placebo capsules were taken twice daily by 50 subjects, consisting of 25-55-year-old male and female participants. Both groups combined treatments with a healthy and active lifestyle and a balanced diet. The BWMF group responded with 7.5% total body weight loss, while placebo group responded with 1.1% total body weight loss after 12 weeks on the study regimen. (Continued)

The BWMF group responded over 12 weeks with a significant reduction in body fat, and an increase in lean body mass (LBM). No serious side effects were reported by the participants and supervising physicians and 75% of participants rated LeanGard as a successful treatment. The unique combination of ingredients offers a viable weight management formula.
