Rust-Oleum Automotive Rust Reformer

Protect critical automotive metals and stop rust in its tracks with Rust-Oleum's innovative Rust Reformer solution. Unlike other rust and corrosion treatments, Rust Reformer does not require extensive brushing and removal of previously oxidized metals. The unique formula bonds with rust at the molecular level, turning it to a hard, stable, anti-corrosive surface that can be directly painted over.

The Fast & Easy Way to Treat Corrosion


Clean & Prep Surface Clean/degrease area to be treated, thoroughly rinse and allow to fully dry. Remove any previous paint coatings and scuff glossy surfaces.	Mask Off Areas & Brush Use painter's tape to mask off any areas that you do not wish to treat. Remove any excess rust build up with a wire brush - no need to scrape down to the bare metal.	Apply Rust Reformer For Spray, shake can for at least 1 minute and then spray surface, holding can 10-16" away. Spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke For Brush On, pour a liquid into a separate container and use a brush to apply formula in even strokes across the surface.	Allow to Cure Allow to fully dry before use. For Spray, allow 24 hours before use or recoating. For Brush On, item can be handled at 1 hour.
