Static Progressive Finger Extension Splint

Rolyan Static Progressive Finger Extension Splint provides a constant force that helps to correct finger flexion contractures. The splint is designed to position the finger into a stretched and extended state to prevent finger contractures. The rigid extension splint has two D-ring straps that ensure a secure fit and stable positioning of the finger. Treating the right contracture is adjustable by tightening the bolts for preventing and correcting contractures. The splint is ideal for preventing the shortening and hardening of tendons, muscles, and other tissue that may cause deformity of the joints.

Size x-small measures 2 1/2" - 3" (6.4 - 7.6 cm); for size, measure length of corresponding finger on unaffected hand from web space to tip. Made from 1/16" (1.6 mm) Aquaplast-T splinting material with comfortable 1/16" (1.6 mm) Plastazote liner for long-term wear. Includes bolts of various sizes to progressively stretch contracted muscles, replace with longer bolts as muscles relax and stretch. Two D-ring straps can be crossed or laid parallel depending on wearer preferences and needs. Provides constant pressure to correct and prevent finger contracture by forcing the fingers into a stretched and extended position.
