Rolyan Gel Shell Splint

The Gel Shell Split is a post-op recovery aid made for carpal tunnel release surgery. It provides gentle compression around the incision to desensitize the surrounding area. This prevents hypertrophic scar formation. The outer layer of fabric protects the skin and the inner padding diffuses pressure evenly over the hand. A thermoplastic shell and gel pad make the brace more comfortable for long-term wear and tear.

Carpal tunnel surgery is performed to release pressure on the median nerve caused by carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel symptoms can range from mild pain to severe pain and limited use of the hand. The Rolyan Gel Shell Splint can be used after the surgery to aid in the recovery process.
