Multi-Pattern Instrument Condenser Microphone, Matched Pair

The NT55 is a small-diaphragm, true-condenser cardioid microphone. It has a three position pad and three stage high pass filter, and the NT45-O omnidirectional capsule. Intended for recording acoustic instruments, drum overheads, cymbals and live performances, the compact externally polarized mic employs a 1/2" capsule, an active J-FET impedance converter with bipolar output buffer. Its tight pickup pattern also makes it ideal as an indoor dialogue microphone for filmmaking on a mic stand/boom.

The NT55-MP is a matched pair of premium multi-pattern small-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for critical recording applications. Featuring acoustically matched 1/2-inch gold-sputtered cardioid condenser capsules, the NT55-MP delivers stunning stereo peroformance. For added flexibility, the NT55 features a three-position pad (0, -10dB, -20dB) and three-stage high-pass filter (flat, 75Hz, 150Hz) and comes with the NT45-O interchangeable omnidirectional capsule. Its exceptionally accurate cardioid polar pattern and wide frequency response make the NT55 ideal for a wide range of recording applications. Also available in a single set.

Comes with two different condenser microphone heads to provide a wide variety of polar patterns. NT55 circuit incorporates a three position variable PAD with 0dB, -10dB or 20dB attenuation.
