Mit Hilfe der Gegenmutter wird das System um die Tankwandung gepresst und hält durch die Dichtung das Wasser zurück. Um die Durchführung zu installieren benötigen Sie einen Lochbohrer in passender Größe. Weiter unten können Sie der passenden Lochbohrung der Tabelle entnehmen. Um die Tankdurchführung aus PVC-U montieren zu können schrauben Sie die Überwurfmutter vom Gewinde los und entnehmen die beiden Dichtringe (PEDH + EPDM). Entscheiden Sie als nächstes ob Sie lieber die Gewindeseite nach außen oder die Klebemuffe / Klebestutzen nach außen zeigen soll. Egal für welche Variante Sie sich entscheiden – Der EPDM Ring (schwarz) muss immer aus auf die Tankdurchführung angebracht werden, dass der schwarze Ring im Wasser ist. Dieser dichtet nämlich die Wasserführende Seite gegen den Behälter ab. Stecken Sie nun von der anderen Seite (nicht im Wasser) den PEHD Dichtring wieder auf das Gewinde und ziehen die Gegenmutter fest. Der PEHD Ring sorgt dafür das beim Festziehen die Gegenmutter nicht verkanntet. Praktisch lassen sich die Tankdurchführungen auch als Wassertank Verbinder einsetzen. Hierbei gibt es verschiedene Ansätze wie man seine Wassertanks mit einander Verbinden kann.
