Our dog Buddy loves the beach but has sun-sensitive eyes; seeing the sun made him very anxious. His veterinarian mom Kathy tried other hats; they just didn't provide the sun protection he needed. Determined, she and engineer dad Tony hand-made the first PupLid, a trucker hat that shaded Buddy eyes in comfort and style so he would keep it on.

Everyone Buddy met loved his hat! It inspired us to share PupLid's sun protection benefits with all dogs.

Effective UV Protection Provides meaningful UV Protection for dogs with sensitive eyes and eye conditions. Secure and comfortable fit ensures your active dog will benefit from the added sun protection.	Stylish & Secure Fit Unique, patented design was invented for a comfortable, secure fit in a super-fun & stylish trucker hat. PupLid hats are lightweight with a sturdy brim and rear mesh panels for ventilation.	Easy to Clasp and Adjust The hook and loop closure allows for a secure and customized fit underneath the chin. Simply fasten the chinstraps allowing two fingers of space between your pet's chin and the clasp. Easy velcro closure allows for quick adjustments.	Furfect Fit Everytime Patent-pending Furfect Fit system has elastic loops secured to four corners of the hat for superior stability. Soft velcro chinstraps slide freely along the elastic loops to adapt to your dog's unique head and neck. A slider then locks everything in place.

Introduce your Pup to their PupLid

Use treats and fun rewards to help your dog get used to their PupLid. Let your dog sniff their PupLid until they accept it. Gently place the hat on your dog's head, pull the ears through and fasten the chinstrap. Keep the first few sessions short to help your dog get used to wearing it. When hat-wearing is paired with a favorite walk or trip to the park, many dogs start getting excited to see their hat because they know they are about to go on an adventure!

Step 1: Place Hat on Head

Open the velcro chinstrap and place the PupLid on your dog's head. The Brim should sit above the line of the brow. Gently pull their ears through the two straps on each side.

Step 2: Fasten Chinstrap

Fasten the chinstrap under your dog's chin making sure to leave about two fingers of space between the chinstrap and your dog's neck. Snug but not tight.

Step 3: Secure Hat

Slide the side toggles up to further secure the hat to your dog's head. Make sure you are not compressing your dog's ears. Say "Good dog!" and you're off.
