What is important to note

Shoe sizes are not standard. Each shoe manufacturer uses different measurements in terms of instep height, toe shape and foot width. However, the basis for your own shoe size is always the length of your own feet. Children's shoes that are too small or too large can lead to misdevelopment of the feet. So you should always determine the foot length of the child before buying to choose the right shoe.

Step 1: Tracing

Take off the socks from the child, place a sheet of paper on a wall and place the child's foot on it so that the heel touches the wall. Now draw the foot shape at the front of the toes with a pen. Hold the pen exactly vertically.

IMPORTANT: Both feet must be measured, as they often have different lengths Feet often swell throughout the day, so we recommend taking the measurement in the late afternoon.

Step 2: Measure

Now you can measure the paper edge from the heel to the longest toe and thus determine the foot length of the child. Orient yourself on the longer foot. We calculate the necessary addition for enough space in the shoe for your child. Please leave the appropriate size for the foot length and allowance in our shoe size chart to make the right choice.

IMPORTANT: Until the 16th years old, children's feet grow by two to three sizes per year. Therefore, children's feet should be measured every three months.
