Q: How do I ensure a good reading

A: 1. Warm your hands and fingers before taking the measurements by rubbing your hands together as low blood perfusion can affect oximeter readings. 99% of reading errors are caused by cold extremities.

2. Keep your hand still because movement can cause the device to reset its' reading.

3. Wait about 30 seconds for the readings to stabilize. Some people may require even a longer time for the pulse oximeter to optimize its sensitivity especially if your hands are cold.

4. Nail polish and false fingernails may cause false or no readings.

Q: Can the XIAOO Pulse Oximeter be used on children

A: Yes. However, we highly recommend using our children pulse oximeter instead which is specifically made for children. The finger chamber of the XIAOO Pulse Oximeter may be too big for children with small fingers. This can affect the accuracy of the reading.
