How To Taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil


SWIRL Begin by pouring a tablespoon of our Premium Gold Sitia into a small glass. Cup the bottom of the glass in your hand to warm the oil and gently swirl to release the aroma.	SMELL Bring the glass to your nose and smell the oil. The "greener" the aroma will smell like fresh cut grass. This is due to the early harvest that yields 82%-87% less oil than most other EVOOs.	SLURP Next, take a slurp or sip. As you do so, touch your tongue to the back of your top teeth and inhale. This spreads the oil in your mouth and helps get the full flavor of the Olive Oil.	SWALLOW Finally, swallow the oil and take note of the flavors. A mild stinging/burning in your throat is a good thing and demonstrates our high Polyphenol count. Some call this spice, which is accurate, but the Polyphenols are the strong antioxidants sourced from plants

Polyphenols are a group of plant-based chemicals. These antioxidant rich properties can be found in a variety of fruits, nuts, seeds and spices.
