PowerStep Heat Moldable shoe insoles are a trusted solution to improve foot function, decrease arch pain, and help alleviate common foot conditions typically caused by overpronation, mild to moderate pronation, or supination.

Heat Molding Instructions:

Prepare Shoe & Insole for Molding:

Preheat oven to 225° F. Loosen shoes and remove all padding and factory inserts. Test fit the insole in the shoe to insure correct size. Insole can be trimmed for a better fit, using the shoe's original insole as a guide.

Heat Insole for Molding:

Heat one insole at a time. Place insole on middle rack with the fabric side face up and the black temperature tab facing out. After 1 minute & 30 seconds, carefully remove the insole and check the temperature tab. Insole will be warm to the touch. If the black temperature tab hasn't turned red after 1 minute & 30 seconds, leave insole in oven for an additional 15 seconds until the temperature tab turns red - may take up to 5 minutes. Do not overheat.

Mold Insole:

Quickly place the insole into the loosened shoe. While wearing socks, place foot in shoe and stand with knees slightly bent, for 1 minute to set. Insoles can be remolded up to 5 times.

I have a pair of Red Wing moldable arch supports in another pair of shoes, but the Red Wing are hard to find - maybe they don't make them anymore. The Red Wing were difficult to mold. The heat was too high, and they had a tendency to curl in the oven. These were very easy to mold, and it worked very well. I have high arches, and these are providing the support I need. I highly recommend. Note: One took a minute and 45 seconds at 250 degrees and the other took two minutes and 15 seconds. I guess they're variable. This is my second review of the Power Step custom orthotics. I purchased the thin version initially and I was so impressed I ordered these thicker version as I have many different types of shoes. Long story short-both work almost perfectly for me. I use the thin version for dressier casual shoes and thick version for sports & hiking. Thick orthotics by design doesn’t always fit as it can be too thick. So buy thick and thin versions and you should be covered. I m so happy as these orthotics have surpassed my expectations. I spent 80 for two pairs and that translates to a savings of approximately 400 to 700 compared to podiatrist orthotics. The size runs true also. Enjoy…. For 2 months I was hobbling after sports and in pain all of the time, felt like a fracture plus tendonitis. I tried other inserts like Dr S gel but they have no arch support. A friend had gone to Goodfeet and spent 1000 for his problem and I was considering that also. The Powerstep inserts have eliminated my foot pain.
