Wiring Instructions

When wiring your backup camera, you'll need to connect it to the display and power supply of your car audio system. The following are the wiring steps in general:

1. Locating the Audio Display: First, you need to identify the main display or navigation system for your car audio system. This is usually where the backup camera image is displayed.
2. Find the reverse signal wire: In the trunk or near the rear bumper of your car, you'll need to look for the signal wire from the reverse lights. This line is usually used as a trigger signal to tell the backup camera when to activate and start sending image signals.
3. Connect the reverse signal cable: Connect the reverse signal cable of the backup camera to the vehicle reverse signal cable you found in step 2. This way, the backup camera can sense when the vehicle is in reverse.
4. Connect the video signal cable: Connect the video signal cable of the reversing camera to the display screen of the car audio system. This is usually done with RCA connectors (yellow) or other adapters. Make sure the connection is correct and secure the connection.
5. Connect the power cord: Connect the power cord of the backup camera to the car power system. This is usually done by connecting to the backup light power cable or other power outlet. Make sure the connection is correct and secure the connection.
6. Install a reversing camera: Install a reversing camera in an appropriate location at the rear of the vehicle, usually next to the license plate or on the rear bumper. Make sure the camera is positioned properly and has a sufficient field of view.
7. Test and Adjust: After completing the above steps, start the car and put the gear selector in reverse. Check whether the display screen can display the image of the backup camera normally, and adjust if necessary to ensure that the image is clear and stable.
