Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming

From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and voice recognition, Bluetooth wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVH-X2800BS with Bluetooth also includes better call quality reception using the new Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Nearly doubling the bandwidth of the frequency helps bring call quality similar to FM reception.

Spotify App Control

With Spotify being a dedicated A/V source on the AVH-X2800BS, you now have the ability to control content from the Spotify app on iPhone and Android devices. You can play, pause and skip tracks, browse playlists, albums and radio stations on the go using the Pioneer controls. If you are a Spotify premium user (requires a monthly paid subscription), you can enjoy ad-free, high quality music even when there is no internet connection.

A Better-Than-Ever Listening Experience

Great music discovery is effortless and free with Pandora. Just start with the name of one of your favourite artists, songs, genres or composers and Pandora will do the rest.

With the AVH-X2800BS, you can enjoy superior sound quality and full control of the Pandora experience in your car directly from the touchscreen display of the receiver. You are able to give tracks 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down,' bookmark a song so you can purchase it later, easily switch between your personalised radio stations, and view full track data.

Pioneer has made it easier to create new Pandora stations while the app is in use with the Pandora Station Creation feature. Both iPhone and select Android users can simply press and hold a button on the receiver to create a new Pandora station dynamically from the currently playing song or artist.

In-dash control for Pandora is compatible with both iOS and select Android devices. Simply download and launch the free Pandora app to your device and connect it to the AVH-X2800BS to take your music to the next level. iOS devices require a wired connection using the CD-IU51 USB interface cable for 30-pin devices (sold separately) or CD-IU52 USB interface cable for Lightning devices (sold separately). Android devices need to be paired to the receiver via Bluetooth while the Pandora app is running.

Voice Recognition Engine

With built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, the AVH-X2800BS provides the ability to utilise the voice recognition engine that is part of the operating system on a user’s smartphone. This feature is compatible with iOS devices that have voice recognition capability.

Users with an iPhone 4s or newer can take advantage of Siri Eyes Free functionality with a touch of a button. When activated, Siri voice prompts play through the vehicle’s speakers and the user’s commands and questions are received and transmitted to the receiver using the external microphone. Siri Eyes Free provides access to many iPhone functions such as music selection, making phone calls and listening to text messages, calendar information, and reminders.

Your Favourite Stations Wherever You Go, Wherever You Are

The AVH-X2800BS is SiriusXM Ready so you can listen to commercial-free music, all your favourite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, comedy, news, traffic, weather, and more. Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner to the dedicated port on the rear of the receiver and control and enjoy satellite radio without additional translators or cables. Features like Tune Start, Tune Scan, Replay, and iTunes Tagging will be available on the receiver. The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner is sold separately. Also, a subscription to SiriusXM Radio is required.

Navigation Ready

Easily upgrade to navigation with the addition of the AVIC-U260 add-on navigation system. This versatile hideaway unit allows you to switch to navigation mode with the touch of a button. Get to your destination by inputting an address or search through the POI library while enjoying whatever source is currently playing.

MIXTRAX is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a nonstop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. Drawing from Pioneer’s rich DJ heritage and our passion for music, MIXTRAX delivers a unique DJ infused listening experience to those in the car. MIXTRAX takes the music from an iPhone, iPod, USB device, or certain Android devices and plays it back with added transitions and effects, creating a virtual DJ inside the Pioneer receiver.

MIXTRAX makes automatic remixing of tracks extra quick and easy. Simply connect your USB compatible device and listen as tracks are joined by various random sound effects in nonstop mix play to keep the groove going in full swing.
