The Physical Education Dome Mat is an easy set-up tool for educators and teaches fundamental motor skills for all elementary and secondary kids. Improves hand-eye coordination, reaction time, lateral footwork, anticipation, and cardio all with an element of fun for the students and in line with national physical education standards. Perfect for short PE periods in which educators have to grab the attention of the students and get them involved in something new and fun. Both instructors and kids who are rollers will master the rolling technique to maximize deflections. An eleven-year veteran physical education teacher developed the activities. It includes modifications for adapted mobility and neuro-divergent students, as well as a competition mode. A lesson plan is included to help get you started. A ball (not included) deflects off the domes randomly as they are rolled across it; 30% of ball rolls pass through providing more unpredictability. Can be used with individual students rotating through each drill. Flat surfaces are essential for best performance: artificial turf, gym floors, asphalt, concrete, clay, and manicured fields. Mat is constructed of durable plastic with rubber domes. Once domes are correctly inserted, they stay in place. Compact, effective, and travel friendly. Approximately 33.5" long x 14.5" wide x 1.75" high. Rolling the ball is as important as catching the ball. Please see the below diagram for proper position of the roller. Easy to assemble. Balls are not included as many PE instructors already have a variety of smaller foam balls that they use.
